Good morning –

First of all, I would like to thank all that participated in the survey. It helped us as a board to see what some of the families were thinking. As we discussed last night, it is hard to plan for the unknown. We have no updates regarding the season at this moment and how we will move forward, we too are in the waiting game. We do feel that once we do get the green light that many things will have changed, such as participant numbers, trying to get back into the swing of normal life of returning to work/office, etc. I think what makes it even harder is knowing the weather we have had thus far this year has been great ball weather.

One thing that the board did take action on was postponing the Raffle Drawing to Saturday, September 19, 2020. Due to the current situation we felt that it was the right thing to do. We hope that by September we can gather and hold this drawing in person. We know of several people that have sold tickets in their procession and we get that isn’t a top priority getting them submitted. With that being said, feel free to drop them off when you are able to 292 Rustic Avenue, Broadway, Virginia. Please text 540.908.0624 to provide a heads up that you will be coming. I know a few were interested in selling some more, which I have tickets that I can hand out as well. If you could please let those that you sold tickets to know of this change that would be much appreciated. We will also place something on Facebook announcing this change.

Due to state charitable gaming regulations we were given regarding the paperwork that should have been filed, we will sell no more than *3500 tickets this year for the raffle. This is different than the original 5000 we had planned. We are unsure if regulations have changed over the years, but we want to make sure this year we stay within guidelines. *Please note that if you have ticket numbers over 3500, your tickets will still be in the drawing. When we were handing out tickets, a box of tickets was skipped, which is why there were higher numbers given out.
