Dear
BCLL Community,
We
hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s. With pre-registration
now open online, we will have our first on-site registration this Saturday (Jan
9th, 9am-1pm). We wanted to make everyone is aware of the “process” for on-site
registration as well as provide a few reminders.
- As of right now, the
StrikeZone is still only permitted to have an occupancy of 25. If
we reach that threshold, the line will begin outside and we will allow people
in as others finish their registration and leave.
- Mask are required inside the SZ
when you are not practicing, thus everyone will be required to wear one for
registration purposes. All BCLL board members will be wearing masks as
well.
- We have taped off “X”
marks for where to stand while waiting inside the facility, as well as arrows
to help show traffic flow. Upon entering the building, a BCLL board
member will check to ensure you have the proper paperwork needed. If
not, you will be asked to leave and return once you have the correct paperwork.
If yes, then you will be permitted to get in line. Please proceed to the right
side of the batting cage area and stand at the next available “X”. The line
will wrap around the batting cages and come back towards the front where
registration will occur.
- Proper paperwork is a
copy of your child’s birth certificate as well as three proofs of residency. Please see our previous emails and Facebook posts to review the
three different columns that you will need proof from. It will help expedite
the registration if you already have copies of the paperwork that you can just
give to us…rather than having us make copies.
- Please pre-register
online as this also helps expedite the on-site registration process.
It takes quite a bit of time to create a new account from scratch and the WiFi
service down in the SZ can be a bit spotty at times.
- After you register,
you will be given raffle tickets for your children to sell. As with previous
years, we are asking that all children who are participating in the BCLL sell
at least 10 raffle tickets. If you believe you will sell more than 10, you are
welcome to take additional tickets. For this spring, the top 3 overall
raffle ticket sellers will be given $250 towards the purchase of a
baseball/softball item. Upon a receipt being submitted to BCLL, the winners
will be reimbursed $250.
- We are always looking
for volunteers! Volunteers
can be head coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, umpires, field
maintenance help, concessions help, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated, even
if only an hour of your time. If you are interested in volunteering but are not
quite sure where you could best assist, please contact a BCLL board member.
We
understand that none of this is ideal and that the registration process may be
lengthier due to this; however, please bear with us and we will move as quickly
as we can. We are very excited to have a spring season and are working
diligently to make it extremely successful for all participants.
Thanks,
Parker
